The End of an Era - PS Grants is No More

With the shut down of PS 9.2 there will be no more entry into PS Grants so all electronic routing of proposals and posting of new awards will be done through Kuali.  OCGA will set up new awards in PS9.2 but between today and 3/22 they will not be able to enter awards.  The memo below from Tim Kuonen announced this timing.

SUBJECT:     PeopleSoft Finance 9.2 Upgrade Go-Live

The UMBC Community will be going live with PeopleSoft Finance 9.2 on March 21, 2018. We are excited about the new features and functionality that will be introduced with the updated system. 

New features will include:

·         Electronic journal approval routing (GL Journal Workflow)

·         Electronic payment request approval routing (Payment Request Workflow)

·         Faster flow of data into PeopleSoft and REX-Finance resulting in more timely reporting

·         REX-Finance reports have been improved significantly to make them easier to run and understand

·         Enhanced PeopleSoft look and feel on your computer and other mobile devices

This Memorandum is intended to provide a summary of what to expect leading up to and after our go-live date.

To facilitate the transition from PeopleSoft Finance version 8.9 to 9.2 transactions that are in progress in the system will need to be fully completed before the cutover. To ensure that transactions are fully processed before the time PeopleSoft Finance 9.2 conversion begins we will take the system down at COB March 13, 2018. There will be a series of deadlines related to the upgrade which are linked below.  Contact names and phone numbers are provided next to each area. Processing will resume for all areas following go-live on March 21.

Please also note there are a series of PeopleSoft Finance 9.2 in-person training sessions scheduled including the days the PeopleSoft system is down for go-live.
